We currently have the RadRover Plus 6 bike available to our customers. We currently have 20 bikes in our fleet.

What Are E-bikes?

E-bikes are regular bikes that have a motor attached powered by a rechargeable battery. The E-bikes are set up so that the rider can choose between a light pedal assist, giving you a gentle boost, or a maximum assist that gives you enough power to conquer hills without even breaking a sweat.

How Does Pedal Assist Work?

You simple choose a number for how much assist you want and start pedaling. As soon as you start pedaling as you would on a regular bike, you will feel the motor engage, giving you the boost in power based on the number chosen. This is where you can choose if you want to do more exercise or if you want an ease in effort or to hurry to your destination. These bikes also have a throttle option, but to keep within Chugach State Park rules, we have disabled the throttles on all our bikes. Although this is one less option, you will still feel all the power and pleasure of riding with pedal assist. If you will not be riding in Chugach State Park, contact us to have the throttle reinstalled for your biking adventure.

Who Can Ride an E-Bike?

Men, women, teenagers at least 16 years old (and meet size appropriateness, see below for specs) as well as senior citizens and those with certain injuries that would make regular biking not a reasonable option. For some, E-biking is simply a new experience and adventure, as opposed to regular biking. For others, regular biking may be outside their ability level due to various circumstances, and E-biking becomes a way to make biking possible again.

Our E-Bike fleet includes 20 of the Rad Rover 6 Plus hard-tail fat-tire mountain E-bikes.
