Transportation: Need a ride? Our partner Turnagain Arm Shuttle can provide you with one way or round trip transportation to or from Anchorage, Indian, Bird Creek, Girdwood, and Portage Glacier. Click here to reserve your spot on their shuttle. They are the largest shuttle service since 1996 to experience the Turnagain Arm providing passengers a gateway to have an actual experience that gets you out of the car and into an adventure with ease.
Meeting: We will meet you with your E-bike(s) at the end of Konikson Road at the Bird Valley Trail system trailhead parking lot. Want to meet somewhere else? Just call us to make a plan. The Bird Valley Trailhead parking lot provides easy access to the Bird to Gird trail with a tunnel going below the Seward Highway to cross over (no busy highway crossing necessary).
Last Minute Booking: We would love to assist you in a day-of booking. Our booking system will not allow any bookings less than 24 hours in advance. Please call us and we will accommodate in any way we can. We can manually set up the booking for you.
Terms and Agreements: Please review our Waiver of Liability and Rental Agreement (see our Forms tab). You may print and sign these to bring to your bike pick up or we will have blank forms ready to go when you arrive.
Included: All rentals include an adjustable safety bike helmet. Front baskets are installed on all of our bikes to accommodate some extra storage. We also will send you with a bike lock. Please note: NO bike lock is theft proof, so please use good judgment when locking up your bike to prevent theft as much as possible (such as placing the bike in a location that’s easily viewable to yourself and others, avoiding leaving the bike for any extended amount of time, etc).
Recommended Gear: You may want to bring a backpack to carry items. We include a small metal basket on all bikes that can help with some storage. You may be surprised at the level of wind especially with the speed you may get up to on an E-bike. Please consider an extra layer for warmth or a windbreaker. Bears are regularly spotted on this trail, please consider bringing bear spray or bear deterrent of your choice. We can provide bear spray at a small fee to include with your rental if you’d like. Don’t forget to bring adequate water and snacks as needed. Sunglasses are always a good idea. Your rental includes the recommended safety bike helmet. Proper shoes such as tennis shoes are also recommended.
