The Bird to Gird paved bike path is an epic journey packed full of unique Alaskan scenery that showcases more types of wildlife and sightseeing opportunities than you’d see on most trails. From whale spotting in the silty water to Dall sheep up in the mountains you’ll have the opportunity to spot a vast array of wildlife. Spot the crashing bore tide wave and a few ambitious surfers. The bore tide wave of the Turnagain Arm is one of the largest in the world and has some of the most diverse surrounding geological features. Stop at some unique shops special to the area.
